Bullets, Red Lions complete Carlsberg Cup semifinal line-up

Nyasa Big Bullets and Red Lions on Sunday advanced into the semifinals of the 2017 Carlsberg Cup.

Bullets beat resilient Cobbe Barracks 1-0 at Balaka Stadium while Red Lions defeated Kasungu Police 4-1 at Civo Stadium.

On Saturday, Moyale Barracks and Be Forward Wanderers became the first two teams to reach the semis after beating Michiru Madrid and Blues Eagles, respectively.

In the semis, to be played on the weekend of 27-28 August, The Peoples Team will face the Zomba based soldiers while their traditional rivals Wanderers will take on Moyale.

The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) conducted a draw to find the last four teams at half-time during the Cobbe/Bullets encounter on Sunday.

The Malawi FA is yet to announce the venues for the semifinals, but there are speculations that the matches will take place at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
