Bullets sign Righteous Banda
Nyasa Big Bullets have signed Righteous Banda from Civil Sporting Club for K5.5 million.
The People’s Team were on the verge of losing out on the star following deal break as Civil were demanding a whooping K10 million.
Bullets offered K4.5 million for the striker/winger who plays for the national team, the Flames.
Civil Sporting Club says they will respect the players decision.
The Club’s General Secretary, Ronald Chiwaula has confirmed.
Chiwaula revealed that Nyasa pressed K4.5m on the table for the player but the Civil Servants rejected the offer claiming the offer was low.
He then insisted that Civil’s executive will not block any player who have a desire to join a club of his choice but proper procedures needs to be followed up.
Chiwaula said the decision on whether to join Bullets or not vested in the hands of the player.
Banda is the first player to sign for the Blantyre outfit after they failed to secure the services of defender Lazarus Deco Nyamera from Mzuni United.
Nyamera has since signed with Silver Strikers on a 3 year contract basis.
