Bidvest and Flames professional player, Gabadinho Mhango has come out public apologizing for spitting at Amazulu’s Michael Morton.
Morton on the other hand says his reaction was influenced by watching “too much Connor McGregor”.
Mhango says he takes full responsibility for the incident and it should never have happened.
Mhango spat in Morton’s direction as he was trying to split Thapelo Nyongo at King Zwelithini Stadium for an intentional foul.
A press statement signed by Mhango says the two have met and resolved their differences.
Mhango in the statement issued, further apologizes to anyone who was offended while asking to be forgiven as he is only human.
Sports pundits say Mhango should have issued the apology earlier.
However the statement says he was advised not make public comment on the issue until disciplinary action against him and his club we’re concluded.
The issuing of the statement means PSL has come to a conclusion but they are yet to communicate their decision.
