Play attacking football


Football Association of Malawi Technical Director, John Kaputa has told the Junior Flames they have to play attacking football when the face Swaziland in the return leg of the CAF Under 20 Africa Cup Of Nations.

The Junior Flames failed to use their home advantage last Saturday ending in a nil nil at Bingu National Stadium.

The second leg is crucial for the Junior Flames if they have other qualify but playing in Swaziland is going to be a challenge as Kaputa explains.

“Swaziland will attack in the next game and thereby they will open spaces where we will penetrate through.”

“The team needs to start playing counter attacking football as attackers were blunt.”

“Frankly speaking if we are to beat them at their backyard we need to play as one family.”

Kaputa expressed optimism that the Junior Flames will do well in the return leg.

The vitctor of the second leg between Malawi and Swaziland will meet Angola Youth team.

The 2nd round, 1st leg is scheduled for May 12-13 while the reverse fixture will be played in Angola during the weekend of May 19-20.
