Zimbabwean comedian to host Daliso Chaponda’s Presidents of Laughafrica show


Zimbabwean hilarious man, Carl Joshua Ncube will host Daliso Chaponda’s Presidents of Laughafrica show.

Ncube, a longtime friend of Chaponda performed at the 2013 edition of the show in Lilongwe.

Qoncept Creative, organizers of the event believe Ncube possesses a good dosage of comedy to set a very good tone for the show.

The highly anticipated show, which is the 5th edition and Chaponda’s first show back in his homeland after winning third place in the finals of the highly acclaimed 2017 Britain’s Got Talent competition.

The dates and venues are 24th and 25th of November in Blantyre at Victoria Gardens and Lilongwe at the Bingu International Convention Centre respectively.

Musician Patience Namadingo and budding comedian, Prince Chikweba are supporting acts.

Qabaniso Malewezi, Director of Qoncept Creative says the line-up is fun and entertaining.

“We are proud to announce Daliso’s President of Laughafrica’s performance acts. People should look forward to a well-organized show that starts on time. For us, it’s all about giving our patrons a memorable experience at our events. All the acts are going to bring their A-game and it will be entertaining and exciting,” says Malewezi.

Commenting on why they chose to pick Namadingo, Malewezi highlighted humour and musical artistry.

“Patience is diversifying his style of performances. He will do some musical comedy with some stand up in between. And as he is a seasoned performer, this event is ideal for him to showcase his other creative side,” he explained.

Upcoming comic star, Prince Chikweba is poised to extend his footprint as a sharp upcoming comic who brings the house down with loads of laughter.

Meanwhile, Qoncept Creative says preparations for the show are registering remarkable progress with an accomplished sponsorship crusade.

“We just finished our sponsorship drive and are about to start our marketing campaign for the show. Tickets are already in outlets and people have already started buying most especially the bulk tickets and we’re looking forward to well-patronized shows in both cities,” says Malewezi.

VIP tickets are available at K25,000 and Standard tickets at K15,000 at the following outlets in Lilongwe: Crossroads Hotel Business Centre, Umodzi Park Business Centre, Foodworths & Ulendo Travel Group.
